SWABI, July 25: A bridge was washed away by rainwater and four people were injured when widespread rain hit the district again on Tuesday. The Tandkohi bridge on Tandkohi badri on Jehangira-Topi road collapsed due to gushing water resulting in suspension of traffic on this busy road.

The traffic was diverted to the Swabi-Topi road which not only prolonged the journey of the travelers but also made it expensive.

Two people were injured in Gandaf region and two in Chota Lahore region when their houses collapsed. However, no casualty report was received from any where.

The rainwater entered houses in Tandkohi, Zaida, Baja, Bamkhel, Sheikh Dheri, Anbar, Kunda, Yar Hussian, Polodand, Kaya, Haryan and other low-lying areas in the district.

In Bamkhel region cattle heads were washed away by badri water and walls of some houses also collapsed. The rain also disrupted power supply to many areas.
