Lakki budget presented

LAKKI MARWAT, July 25: Tehsil Nazim Lakki Shaukat Hayat Khan Begukhel presented the annual budget of the Tehsil for the fiscal 2006-07 on Tuesday. The budget session was held here at town hall and was presided over by convener advocate Mohammad Aslam Khan.

Unveiling the details of the budget Mr Begukhel said that total outlay of the budget was 33.57 million out of which Rs11.3 million was earmarked for developmental expenditures while Rs22.27 million would go far non- developmental expenditures.

“Out of the developmental allocations a sum of Rs4.49 million has been set aside for the ongoing schemes while Rs16 million has been specified as establishment charges for salaries and pensions out of non-developmental allocations”, he said and maintained that apart from that Rs20,000 would be spent on purchase of books of municipal library and Rs100,000 would go for tree plantation campaign.

The nazim proposed complete ban on recruitment of employees in Tehsil Municipal Administration of Lakki till next June as well as construction of shops on TMA owned property so as to increase income-generating resources of the Tehsil.

He urged the members to extend their unconditional and full-fledged support so that the reform-based agenda and policies could be implemented.
