Palm oil up


KUALA LUMPUR, July 25: Malaysian crude palm oil futures closed higher on Tuesday, fuelled by improved export performance and higher prices of rival soyaoil.

Exports of Malaysian palm products for July 1-25 stood at968,714 tons, up 7.4pc from the 901,923 tons shipped between June 1 and 25, cargo surveyor Intertek Testing Services said.

Another cargo surveyor, Societe de Surveillance, said exports of palm products for July 1-25 rose 12.4pc from 849,560 tons shipped during the same period in June. —Reuters
