KARACHI: Vehicle fitness project


KARACHI, July 24: Sindh Environment Adviser Noman Saigal on Monday said that a pilot project would be started soon to examine the fitness of some 100 vehicles on daily basis.

He said that the equipment had been brought besides all other arrangements had also been completed in this regard. He said assistance of traffic police officials would also be sought and jobless youths would soon be hired on contracts for this project.

The deadline of three months given to the transporters by the Sindh High Court was now ending, he said adding now a campaign with would be launched against unfit vehicles.—PPI
