KARACHI, July 24: Five ships carrying chemical, containers and to load cement are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Tuesday, according to KPT sources.
Berthing activity at the wharves was active where eight ships were berthed. They are: Iran Kordestan, Iran Shaharyar, to unload and load containers, Dusita Naree, to offload sugar, Spyros-B, to unload fertiliser, Marine BlueQueen Morning, to unload and load general cargo, Sea Glory, to offload crude oil, and Denden, to unload cement.
Sailing was also active as nine ships, Thor Captain, Iran Kordestan, Ever Guard, Swat, Diamond Park, Borkum, Nama, Marine Blue and Bolan departed, while Sibi, Fuji, Iran Shaharyar and Sea Glory are due to sail out on Tuesday.
Cargo handling activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where a total tonnage of 89,377 tons comprising 8,351 tons of export cargo, including 1,400 tons of cement and 81,016 tons of import tonnage, which also included 9,039 tons of sugar, was handled.
The following ships are due on Tuesday: Diamond Progress, to load 8,000 tons of cement, Sg. Fortitude, with chemicals, Kota Jasa, APL Dalian, and Ever Guide, with containers.
