Kabul to free 17 Pakistanis


ISLAMABAD, July 21: The Afghanistan government has agreed to free 17 Pakistani prisoners and a joint committee has been formed to pursue cases of other detainees, Interior Ministry officials said on Friday.

The decision was taken during a two-day meeting held in Kabul this week between officials of interior ministries of Afghanistan and Pakistan.

The joint committee will comprise officials from the Pakistan Embassy in Kabul and the Interior Ministry of Afghanistan.—APP
