Robbers kill milkman

LAHORE, July 21: Robbers shot dead a milkman and injured his wife in Gujjarpura police limits on Friday.

Three robbers stormed into the house of Yousaf, 35, and held his family hostage in Chah Miran. They opened fire on Yousaf and his wife Ishrat when they put up resistance. They sustained serious injuries and were rushed to hospital where Yousaf died while Ishrat’s condition was stated to be stable.

Meanwhile, police claimed that Ishrat had recognised one of the robbers as Shahid of her locality.

A case was registered against him and his two unidentified accomplices.

MURDER: A man allegedly shot dead his sister in Shahdara on Friday.

Ashiq Ali told police that Amanat Ali, the brother of his wife Nasrin, 32, had a dispute with his family over some domestic issues. On Friday, Amanat came to his house and opened fire on them, killing Nasrin on the spot.

A case was registered against him with no arrest. — Staff Reporter
