Punjab PML-N elections today

LAHORE, July 21: Some 600 Punjab council members of the PML-N will elect provincial president and secretary-general for a term of three years on Saturday (today).

Chairman Raja Zafarul Haq and secretary-general Iqbal Zafar Jhagra will also be present to oversee the electoral process.

Sirdar Zulfikar Khosa is expected to be re-elected for the office of the president.

However, Raja Ashfaq

Sarwar is the new candidate for the secretary-general office.

Syed Zaeem Qadri will be given some assignment at a later stage.

Candidates for various offices will file their nomination papers from 8am to 9am, which will be scrutinised during the next one hour.
