Health workers kidnapped

SUKKUR, July 21: Armed dacoits kidnapped four health workers near Soomar Mori village, Ghotki district in the jurisdiction of Yaroo Lund police station on Thursday.

Reports reaching here said that the health workers from taluka hospital Khanpur Mahar, Umeed Ali, Allah Rakhio, Yasin Kaleri and Jam Mehtam, were going to Yaroo Lund in a jeep in connection with the anti-polio campaign when the bandits intercepted the vehicle near the Soomar Mori village.

The assailants overpowered them at gunpoint and took all of them away along with the jeep.

Police chased the kidnappers after they were informed of the incident but there was no report of their recovery till the filing this report.
