KARACHI: Mother of two killed

By Our Staff Reporter

KARACHI, July 21: Two persons were killed in various localities in separate incidents here on Friday. Police said a mother of two and a resident of Data Nagar Orangi was allegedly burned alive by her husband following heated arguments between the two as her husband suspected her of infidelity.

She was taken to a hospital where she breathed her last. However, in her dying declaration before the police, Rabia, 35, stated that her husband Shahid burnt her. Police arrested Shahid, who confessed to have burnt his wife on suspicion of infidelity. The body was later handed over to Mohammad Imran, the brother of the deceased.

Ghulam Hussain, 60, a resident of Muhammadi Colony, was stabbed to death. Police said the victim was killed when he reached his home. Police suspected personal enmity behind the murder. However, the police failed to identify killers.

BODY FOUND: The bullet-riddled body of a woman in her mid twenties was found at a derelict place along the Superhighway on Friday.

The body was shifted to Abbasi Hospital where doctors said the victim had received four bullets. Area police said unidentified persons killed the woman at some unknown place and then threw her body. Her identity could not be established immediately.

Sanaullah, 37, a factory worker and a resident of Bilal Colony, Sector 8-A, in Korangi Industrial Area, was found strangled.

Police suspected personal enmity behind the murder but failed to find any clue to killers.

DROWNS: Habib Hussain, 17, a student of Class 10 and a resident of Gulshan-i-Ghazi, drowned off Sandspit beach in Mauripur police limits. Habib had come on picnic with his family. Divers of the fire brigade emergency response centre are trying to locate the body.
