KARACHI: CS for timely completion of projects


KARACHI, July 19: Sindh Chief Secretary Fazlur Rehman has stressed the need for timely completion of ongoing projects and directed that transparency should be maintained in this regard under laid down rules and regulations.

Referring to a report of planning and development department, which highlighted the federal government’s offer for establishment of Construction Machinery Training Institute, the chief secretary welcomed the project and directed the heads of industries, local government, finance and land utilization departments to ensure an earliest availability of land for the project in Jamshoro.

Fazlur Rehman said that the construction machinery training institutes were being established in all the provinces. He said its establishment in Sindh would help the construction industry to progress in real sense.

He said the skilled, non-skilled and semi-skilled people, associated with construction industry, would get an appropriate return of their services after having training in modern technology. He pointed out that development of construction industry would also lead to economic progress.

In this regard, he emphasised upon promotion of departmental liaison. He asked the secretary land utilisation to submit a report within one week regarding availability of land in Jamshoro.—APP
