KARACHI, July 18: Three ships to load and offload containers and chemicals were accommodated berths at QICT and MPT during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, two more ships carrying canola seeds and furnace oil also arrived at the outer anchorage. Berth occupancy stood at 66pc as six ships were busy in loading and unloading containers, rice cement, chemicals and diesel oil.

A cargo volume of 53,133 tons comprising 41,140 tons of import and 11,993 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Sailing was active as Warbah, Al-Marwah, Marblue, Freedom, Mega-1 and Khairpur left the port. Four ships were awaiting their berthing turn at the outer anchorage.
