QUETTA July 17: Secretary general Jamhuri Watan Party Senator Shahid Hassan Bugti has said that provincial government’s assertion that law-enforcement personnel had been deployed around his residence for security reasons indicates its intention to eliminate him and put the blame on others.

The JWP leader said in a statement that he neither had any dispute with any individual of the Bugti tribe nor his life was under threat. He maintained that the issue should be brought to the notice of the Supreme Court.

“One can infer from the statement of spokesman Raziq Bugti that government wants to eliminate its opponents through state machinery and then put the blame on those who have surrendered to the government to pave way for a civil war in Balochistan,” he said.

The JWP leader condemned what he called “kidnapping” of two brothers of BNP-Mengal leader Senator Sana Baloch by an intelligence agency from Quetta airport and said that the act was aimed at pressurising those who were raising voice for the rights of Baloch people.
