Nationalists accused of politicising murder

By Our Correspondent

QUETTA, July 17: The Shuda-i-Spin Boldak Action Committee has accused a Pakhtun nationalist political party of politicising the killing of Dr Samad Achakzai in Chaman a few days ago to pit tribesmen against each other.

Speaking at a press conference at the press club here on Monday, committee leader Akhtar Mohammad Nurzai asserted that the Spin Boldak incident in which 16 Pakistanis were killed by Afghan border security forces and the killing of the doctor in Chaman were not related.

He alleged that the nationalist party had implicated heirs of the martyrs of Spin Boldak in the murder case of Dr Achakzai at the behest of the Kabul government.

Mr Nurzai claimed that the doctor had been killed in a tribal dispute.

He demanded that the government should hold an impartial inquiry into the Chaman incident.
