KARACHI, July 17: Eight ships carrying sugar, palm oil and chemicals are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Tuesday, according to KPT sources.
Berthing activity at the wharves was active where six vessels, Corin Thaikos, Yang Jiang He, Wan Hai-306, Kota Tampan, and Kota Permai, to unload and load containers and Nur Yanbu, to offload chemicals.
Sailing was active as eigth ships, Eric G. Gibson, Cyrus, Piemonte, Dimitris-C, Yang Jiang He, Lia King, Nur Yanbu, Santosa, departed, while Wan Hai-306, Kota Permai, Mastro Geiorgis, Corin Thaikos, Kota Tampan, Ati Harmony are expected to sail out on Tuesday.
Cargo handling activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where a total tonnage of 0.130m tons, comprising 19,643 tons of export cargo including 2,435 tons of rice and 0.115m tons of import tonnage was handled.
The following ships are due on Tuesday: Man Pung, with 12,570 tons of sugar, Stolt Avance, with 3,997 tons of palm oil, Sagaing, with general cargo, Al-Marwah, with chemicals, APL Janbel Ali, Ever Guard, with container and Gundulic, with steel cargo
