QUETTA, July 16: Police arrested 92 Afghan nationals after raids in various areas of the provincial capital on Sunday, police sources said.
They said that police conducted raids on directives of higher authorities and arrested 60 Afghan nationals from jurisdiction of Pashtoonabad, 22 from Satellite Town, five from Brewery and five from the Saddar Police Station area. These people belong to Urzugan, Zabul and Kandahar provinces of Afghanistan.
Police said cases had been registered against them under the Foreigners’ Act.
They would be produced before court.
No explosive material or illegal documents had been recovered from them.—APP
