JI leader meets Shahbaz

By Our Staff Reporter

LAHORE, July 16: PML-N President Mian Shahbaz Sharif and Jamaat-i-Islami Secretary-General Syed Munawwar Hasan met in London on Saturday and exchanged views on the prevailing political situation in the country.

The two leaders were of the view that a movement should be launched before the next elections so that nobody could rig the polls. Elections not preceded by a movement would not be transparent, they apprehended.

They alleged that the rulers were implementing the US agenda and were responsible for the rampant corruption and growing joblessness.

The PML-N and Jamaat leaders demanded that the army should go back to the barracks and let the elected representatives rule the country.
