LAKKI MARWAT, July 16: A proclaimed offender said to have been involved in various crimes was arrested here on Sunday.

Police claimed that they had received information about the presence of a hardened criminal Hayatullah near a shrine. A raid was conducted on his hideout near the Yar Mohammad shrine and was arrested without any resistance.

Police found a Kalashnikov rifle and a large number of bullets in his possession. He was required in nine cases including murder, robbery, theft and drug trafficking.—Correspondent
