KARACHI: Open Kutchehry


KARACHI, July 16: An open kutchehry was held on Sunday here at UC-I Akhtar Colony of Jamshed Town. Town Naib Nazim Ziauddin Jamal heard grievances of residents and issued directives for their redressal.

UC Nazim Zahoorul Haq Jadoon, Naib Nazim Anthony Naveed and TMO Altaf Memon were also present. Locals complained against problems pertaining to water shortage, sewage disposal, encroachments, cleanliness and streetlights.

Regarding water and sewerage, Ziauddin said that a proper water and sewerage system from UC-1 to 3 would soon be installed to address the issue and a consultant had already been hired.

Regarding illegal constructions, drug-selling and other issues, he directed the concerned officials to submit reports after taking immediate action.—PPI
