Unhappy officials

Team officials at Green Hill Cup on Thursday complained about what they said inadequate arrangements by the organisers, saying they were causing problems for them and boxers.

Korea coach Na Dong-Gil pointed out that it was hard for the boxers to warm-up in the gymnasium provided by organisers since the air-conditioners were not enough for cooling.

“Although the area where our boxers warm-up and spar is good but since the air-conditioners are installed so high they can’t cool the gymnasium, especially when there are too many people here at the same time,” Korean official told Dawn through an interpreter.

Dong-Gil said like other squads, his boxers had also been facing problems .The Korean said proper seating arrangement for boxers and officials had not been made which made it hard to watch and concentrate during the fights.

China team leader Cui Fuguo complained about poor lighting arrangement above the ring which, he said, were not ideal to watch the bouts closely. “The lights above the ring are poor. There should have been more lights above the ring,” the Chinese said.—Sports Reporter
