KARACHI, July 13: The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chief, Altaf Hussain, has said that MQM candidates' victory in recent elections of Azad Kashmir Legislative Assembly with big margins heralds its success across the country in general elections of 2007.

He was addressing a gathering of Kashimiri people residing in various parts of the city here at MQM Headquarters, Azizabad on Wednesday from London via telephone.

Kashmiris from different age groups, including women, had gathered to congratulate MQM candidates Tahir Khokhar and Salim Butt on their success in Azad Kashmir Legislative Assembly elections.

Thanking Kashmiris for giving their votes to MQM candidates in Punjab, NWFP, Balochistan and Sindh, MQM chief said this showed their trust in the MQM.

He appreciated the services of all the members and workers of MQM which contributed towards victory of MQM's candidates.—APP
