KARACHI, July 13: Five ships carrying chemicals, containers and general cargo are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Friday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where 10 vessels were berthed. They are:

Inaba, Western Star, Y.M. Star, Hyundai Future, to unload and load containers, Atlantic Express, to offload and load general cargo, Angara, to unload steel scrap, Shalamar, to offload crude oil, Bum Chin, to unload chemicals, Piemonte to load naphtha and F.T. Wine to load fish.

Five ships, Kota Merdesa, Kota Teraju, APL Osaka, Capetan Lefteris and F.T. Maru departed, while Inaba, Atlantic Express, MOL Mauri, Y.M. Star, Bum Chin, Western Star, Shalamar and Dong He are due to sail out on Friday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was brisk where a total tonnage of 0.123m tons comprising 30,239 tons of export cargo including 3,322 tons of rice and 92,776 tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Friday: Bow Cedar, with chemicals, Kota Wijaya, Eric G.Gibson, with containers, Sentosa and Haje Khereh, with general cargo.
