Canadian GDP

OTTAWA, July 13: Canada’s economy will grow slightly faster than anticipated in the second half of this year, but will then slow in 2007 and 2008, Bank of Canada Governor David Dodge said on Thursday. The central bank now projects economic growth of 3.2pc in 2006, 2.9pc in 2007, and 2.8pc in 2008 while inflation is expected to average just over 1.5pc over the next 12 months.—AFP
