LAHORE,July 11: Captain Hamid Riaz Qureshi, pilot of the PIA’s Fokker which crashed in Multan on Monday, was laid to rest here on Tuesday amidst moving scenes. His funeral procession was taken out from his Bedian Road residence and he was buried at a local graveyard.

Qureshi who joined PIA in December 1989 is survived by a wife and three children.

First Officer Abrar Chughtai was buried in Multan. Of the two airhostesses, Aamira Sikandar Azeem was laid to rest near her Johar Town residence while the body of Tabana Jameel was taken to her hometown Sharaqpur.

Meanwhile, funrral prayers for Dr Sheikh Sohail Akhtar, Deputy Attorney General, were held here at the Children Library Complex.—APP
