KARACHI, July 11: Ten ships carrying crude oil, chemicals and steel are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Wednesday, according to KPT sources.
Berthing activity at the wharves was active where six ships, Dimitris-C, Tai Shan Hai, to unload coal and fertiliser, Lai King, to load rice, Bunga Delima and Mol Kauri, to unload and load containers, and Orionis, to offload general cargo.
Three vessels, Maersk Alabama, Banglar Kallol and Lalazar departed on Tuesday, while Oriental Protea is due to sail out on Wednesday.
Cargo handling activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where a total tonnage of 82,972 tons comprising 31,919tons of export cargo, including 2,034 tons of rice and 51,053 tons of import tonnage, which also included 4,135 tons of sugar.
The following ships are due on Wednesday: Shalamar, with crude oil, Bum Chin, with chemicals, Al-Rafal, with base oil, Kota Wijaya, Dong He, Hyundai Future, Western Star, Y.M. Star and Inaba, with containers, and Atlantic Express, with steel and general cargo.
