Robbers shoot labourer

SHEIKHUPURA, July 7: Three people were killed in Sheikhupura and Nankana districts on Friday. Labourer Farman Ali, a resident of Machli Farm, Sheikhupura, was shot dead by two robbers in the wee hours of Friday when he was returning from his duty near Lunda Phatak. The robbers reportedly took away Rs15,000 in cash, a cell phone and other belongings.

B-Division police said that the murder was not a result of dacoity.

A speeding vehicle crushed an unidentified man when he was crossing the road near Koh-i-Noor Oil Mills in the jurisdiction of Ferozewala police.

Arif, a resident of Jatree Nau in Nankana district, was shot dead by Muhammad Ali, Tanvir and three others when he was on his way home from his farm.

The motive behind the murder is stated to be a property dispute.

CASE: Syedwala police registered a murder case on the direction of district and sessions judge against Arshad and his six accomplices.
