KARACHI, July 7: Three ships scheduled to load and offload containers and furnace oil were berthed at QICT and Fotco Terminal during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Friday.

Meanwhile, two more ships carrying chemicals and general cargo also arrived at the outer anchorage. Berth occupancy stood at 78pc as eight ships were occupying berths to load and offload containers, rice, edible oil, sugar, chemicals, furnace oil and iron ore.

A cargo volume of 77,542 tons comprising 61,642 tons of import and 15,900 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Sailing was active as CMA CGM Kingston and Al-Manakh left the port while Mega-1 was due to depart.
