House set on fire in Bara

LANDI KOTAL (Khyber Agency), 6: Dozens of armed Lashkar-i-Islam activists on Thursday set ablaze the house of their opponent in Shalobar locality of Bara.

Witnesses said that the LI suporters who were in at least a dozen pick-ups first occupied the house of Ghani Malang and later set the nine-room house on fire.

Lashkar spokesman Misri Khan alleged that Ghani Malang’s son Said Wali had some time back snatched a vehicle from Lashkar men in Bara.

He said that Ghani Malang was issued notice two days back to surrender the vehicle but he did not respond and thus his house was burned on Thursday.
