Shandur gala opens today
GILGIT, July 6: The administrations of Chitral and Northern Areas have finalised arrangements for the three-day Shandur festival starting on Friday.
During the Shandur Polo Festival being held from July 7 to 9, several other activities, such as paragliding, cultural shows, exhibition of local handicrafts and a fireworks display by a French team, will also be organised.
An official said the main purpose of holding the festival was to generate economic activities for local people.
