Man sprinkles acid on ex-wife, relatives
BAHAWALPUR, July 6: A woman along with her two nephews and as many nieces suffered burn injuries in an alleged acid attack here on Wednesday night at Tibba Badar Shar.
Reports said Shamim Akhtar got divorce from Akbar Ali who threw acid on the former. As a result of which, Shamim, her two nephews Mehboob Ahmed (17), Daud (5) and as many nieces Asifa (15) and Kashifa (10) were seriously injured. The injured were removed to hospital.
Baghdadul Jadid police have registered a case on the complaint of Shamim’s brother Abdul Sattar against Akbar Ali who managed to escape. — Correspondent
