HYDERABAD, July 6: A man was stabbed to death outside the Civil Hospital in the Market police station’s area on Thursday.

Police quoting the deceased’s family as saying that Ghulam Hussain Shar, son of Soomar Shar of Naushahro Feroze, had fallen victim to an old enmity.

Late Ghulam Hussain whose wife was admitted to Civil Hospital had left the hospital with his five-year-old son, Khalid, and was going towards the market when two assailants stopped him and struck him repeatedly in the head with a dagger.

He died instantly.

Late Ghulam Hussain and some of his relatives were allegedly involved in killing a girl, Haseena, about eight years back ‘for honour’, police said.

For four years he had settled in Lalu Lashari village in Hyderabad after settling the dispute by giving his sister in marriage, police said.

His family took away the body without getting the autopsy carried out.

Police have so far not registered any FIR.
