DADU: PML-N criticises ministers

By Our Correspondent

DADU, July 6: President of the Sindh PML-N ladies wing, Sorath Thebo, has said that ministers are minting money, but ignoring people’s problems.

She said economic crisis in the country, particularly in Sindh, was worsening, with graduate youths were committing suicides due to unemployment.

She was talking to reporters at the PML-N ladies wing office after a meeting with party workers, here on Thursday.

She said the law and order situation in the province had deteriorated while the province was facing severe water shortage.

She said PML-N leader Mian Mohammad Nawaz Sharif and PPP chairperson Benazir Bhutto would return home before the general election, and asked party workers to prepare themselves to participate in the struggle for restoration of democracy.

She claimed that the charter of democracy had changed politics in Pakistan as it would strengthen people’s struggle for rights.

She demanded withdrawal of fake cases registered against Mian Mohammad Nawaz Sharif, Shahbaz Sharif, Benazir Bhutto and others.

KILLED: A man, Rab Dino, 35, was axed to death by four thieves in village Aminani near Dadu on Wednesday night while resisting them.

DEMO: A large number of farmers of Kakol Wah originating from Rice Canal marched on the Indus Highway near Mehar on Thursday to protest against acute shortage of water.

They marched three kilometres along the highway and staged a demonstration for two hours.

They demanded that all tampered with watercourses should be sealed and action be taken against irrigation officials.

Leaders of the Abadgars Association said tail-end growers were not getting water because irrigation officials were selling water to influential landlords at the head.
