KARACHI: Hamida orders revamping of colleges

KARACHI, July 5: Sindh Education and Literacy Minister Dr Hamida Khuhro has ordered comprehensive revamping plan for colleges along with redeployment of teachers to improve the working of these institutions.

Secretary Education Syed Ghulam Ali Shah Pasha, Special Secretary Education Karim Bukhsh Sarohi, Provincial Education Manager Dr Muhammad Ali Shaikh, Additional Secretary Riaz Ahmed Memon were among those who attended the meeting.

The minister said that there were complaints that teaching staff in some colleges was in excess while in others there was a shortage.

Asking the provincial education manager to collect the data of colleges, teaching staff and other facilities available there, she directed him to come up with a redeployment plan of college teachers in order to rationalise the availability of teaching manpower.
