Man held for Chinese engineers’ murder

QUETTA, July 4: Law-enforcement personnel have arrested an activist of a banned nationalist group for his alleged involvement in the killing of Chinese engineers and other subversive activities in the province.

Sources said that Mohammed Khan was arrested form the hilly area of Talar between Gwadar and Turbat.

The sources said that Mohammad Khan was operating as chief of the banned Balochistan Liberation Army in the Makran region.

During interrogation Mohammed Khan confessed to killing Chinese engineers three years ago in Gwadar and in March this year in Hub, the sources said.

Agencies add: According to an official, Mohammed Khan was arrested late on Monday.

Three Chinese engineers were gunned down in Hub in February. Three others were killed in a bomb blast in Gwadar.
