Timergara blast: Afghans quized

TIMERGARA, July 4: Authorities have started probing into the blast that killed six soldiers of Dir Scouts on Monday. Dozens of Afghans refugees are being interrogated, officials said on Tuesday.

Many Afghan refugees were called to the police station and were interrogated.

An official of the Dir Scouts said that an investigative commission has been formed to probe into the matter.

Sources in the Frontier Corps said that the bodies of naib-subedar Ameer Akbar, a resident of Nowshera, who had fallen in the Panjkora River, is still missing.

Two of the injured jawans of the Dir Scouts were taken to Peshawar while the rest were hospitalised at Timergara hospital. Sources said that efforts to recover the body of the deceased were not succesful.

Meanwhile, the bodies of the victims were taken to their ancestral towns and buried with full military honour.
