Celebrations turn sour

GENEVA, July 2: A Portugal football fan was seriously hurt after being electrocuted while celebrating her country's World Cup victory against England, according to police in Muralto.

The 17-year-old girl, who had been celebrating Portugal's quarter-final penalty shoot-out win with a group of fellow supporters, had climbed onto a tram but went too close to an overhead electric powerline, added the police source.—AFP
