Aircraft escapes accident
KARACHI, July 2: A PIA A310 escaped accident as four of its tyres burst on Sunday during the landing run at the Islamabad airport. Passengers and the crew, however, remained unhurt.
Sources said the incident occurred as the captain of flight PK-308 from Karachi applied brakes. They said there were two spare tyres available at Islamabad and the airline had shipped two more tyres from Karachi. The incident delayed the return flight from Islamabad, they said. -- Staff Reporter
