TOBA TEK SINGH, July 2: Transporters of Pirmahal observed a complete strike on Sunday in protest against what they said 100 per cent raise in parking fee by the Kamalia Tehsil Municipal Administration.
As a result of the wheeljam strike, commuters had to face a great deal of inconvenience in the scorching heat.
A transporters’ spokesman claimed that there was no justification for raising the parking fee as they were already running their buses and wagons in loss due to high prices of petroleum products.
