RAWALPINDI, July 2: The Civil Defence department and the district administration have established three field control centres in the city to cope with any flood situation during monsoon.

Civil Defence Officer Raja Liaquat Ali said the centres had been established at Civil Defence headquarters, DOR office and Fire Brigade office of Rawal Town.

The centres will be manned by officials who will remain in contact with the Met office round the clock.

The officer said sirens would sound throughout the city if water in Nullah Leh crossed the 20-foot mark.
