MARDAN, July 1: Some 47 employees of the National Commission for Human Development (NCHD) were sacked on Saturday, sources said.
One of the affected employees said their jobs were temporary and they had been appointed on the contract basis. Therefore, he added, they could not take any legal action against the NCHD decision.
An NCHD official said that one of the wings of the department had been wound up and the people working there had to lose their jobs in accordance with their contractual agreements.
