Shikarpur taluka budget passed

SHIKARPUR, June 30: The Shikarpur taluka council on Friday passed its budget of Rs72.951 million. The budget was presented by Taluka Nazim Zafar Ali Shaikh.

The budget session was presided over by Taluka Naib Nazim Abdul Ghafoor Soomro.

The expenditure was shown as Rs72.951 million which would be utilized for maintenance and repair of hand pumps, buildings, shops, residential quarters, mosques, cc blocks, roads, renovation of meeting hall, silt clearance of drains and other non-development purposes including salaries.

No new development schemes were proposed. The nazim told the council that Federal Minister for Narcotics Ghous Bux Mahar had announced to provide Rs10 million from his MNA funds to carry out planned development schemes in Shikarpur.
