KARACHI: 37 mobile phones, 20 vehicles taken away

KARACHI, June 30: At least 37 mobile phones and 20 vehicles were taken away by bandits at gunpoint in the city on Friday. Eleven phones were snatched at gunpoint while 23 were stolen in the city. Three mobile phones were taken away on Thursday.

Bandits took away three cars at gunpoint while six were stolen.Similarly, six motorcycles were snatched at gunpoint and five were stolen.

ACCIDENTS: Two men died in separate road accidents in different parts of the city on Friday.

A 50-year-old cyclist, identified as Hasan Shah, was knocked down by a speeding truck on Sharea Faisal near Ibrahim Rehmatullah Road.

The victim was taken to JPMC were he was pronounced dead on arrival.

In another accident, a young motorcyclist died in a hit and run accident at Banaras Chowk on Friday.

Zahid was heading to work on his motorcycle when a speeding truck hit him at Banaras traffic section. The victim was taken to Abbasi Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
