WARSAW, June 29: The head of Poland's soccer federation said on Thursday he will start an informal search for a national team coach in case Pawel Janas resigns or is fired at a July 14 meeting.
But Michal Listkiewicz said no decision had yet been made after Poland's first-round exit.
“If it turned out that Pawel Janas won't be coach any more, we would have to make a decision within a week,” Listkiewicz told a Polish TV station.
Listkiewicz left for Germany to meet ‘with people who know the coaching market.’
“Most of the famous coaches have managers — the same as soccer players — and I will talk to those people too,” he added.—AP
