PESHAWAR, June 29: NWFP Chief Minister Akram Khan Durrani has urged German government to initiate an urgent probe into the alleged custodial death of a Pakistani student Amir Cheema through an independent commission in a transparent and impartial manner, said a handout issued here on Thursday.

Talking to German ambassador, Dr. Gunter Mulack, who called on him at Frontier House, the other day, the chief minister said that an impartial investigation into the death of Cheema should be launched to find out actual causes and factors led to the student’s death.

He said the incident has deeply shocked the people of NWFP and created unrest across the country.—Bureau
