KARACHI: 62 cellphones, 22 vehicles taken away

KARACHI, June 29: At least 62 cellphones and 22 vehicles were snatched or stolen from different parts of the city on Thursday. Police sources said that at least 30 cellphones were taken away at gunpoint by bandits while theft of 28 cellphones was reported from different parts of the city. According to them, 4 cellphones were reported missing on Thursday.

Sources said that at least 3 cars were snatched at gunpoint from different parts of the city while 10 cars were reported stolen.

On Thursday, bandits took away four motorcycles at gunpoint while theft of five bikes was also reported from various parts of the city.

On Wednesday, at least 47 cellphones and 25 vehicles were either snatched or stolen by bandits from different parts of the city, police sources said.

BODY FOUND: A body cut into five pieces was found from a vacant plot in Surjani Town on Thursday.

Police said that the body parts were found in a gunny bag from a vacant plot in Khuda ki basti. The victim was identified as Lashkar Khan from some papers recovered from the amputated body. Police shifted the body to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for autopsy.
