ISLAMABAD, June 28: The National Assembly’s standing committee on social welfare and special education on Wednesday discussed the Senior Citizens Bill-2006 in the light of recommendations of its sub-committee.
The members of the committee recommended that for the welfare of senior citizens, facilities such as special counters in banks, post offices, etc.; concessions in railways, PIA fares as well as in utility bills and provision of free medical facilities in government hospitals should be ensured for them.—Our Reporter
