Aimal shines for Balochistan

PESHAWAR, June 28: Aimal struck twice as defending champions Balochistan started their campaign with a 3-1 win over Azad Jammu & Kashmir in the fifth National under-16 football championship at Qayyum Sports Complex on Wednesday.

Aimal scored in 47th and 69th minute of the match. Nasibullah was the other scorer for the winners.

In other matches, NWFP beat Northern Areas 3-1 in Group-B match. Imtiaz, Alam Sher and Umar Dar scored goals for the winners.

Sindh held Fata to a 1-1 draw in Group C match played at Peshawar University.

Punjab defeated Islamabad 1-0 with Imran being the decisive-goal scorer.—PPI
