KASUR, June 27: Scores of women on Tuesday took out a protest procession against the Kasur Tehsil Municipal Administration for its failure to supply water to Kot Peeran and other adjacent colonies for the last five days.

The protesters, led by general councillor Zareena Bibi, were holding placards and banner inscribed with slogans against TMO Liaquat Ali Bhatti, demanding his removal from service.

They said they would stage a sit-in before the TMO office if water supply was not restored within the next 24 hours in Kot Peeran and adjacent colonies. They said most of families in the affected areas were forced to shift to other areas.
