SUKKUR, June 27: Sukkur City Taluka Nazim Naeem Siddiqui presented a surplus budget for 2006-07 of the taluka council. The nazim informed the council on Monday that total income during the current fiscal year stood at Rs350 millions and expenditure at Rs347 millions leaving Rs3 millions surplus.

He said that during the last fiscal the total income was Rs240 million and expenditure Rs235 million with Rs5 million surplus.

During the current fiscal year total income of taluka council including taxes, share from district council and property tax would come around Rs222 million. Rs37.9 million would be paid by the Sindh government under development programme, he added.—BoC
