Walk against drug abuse

SUKKUR, June 26: A walk to observe the International Narcotics Day was held here on Monday from the Clock Tower to the Qasim Park. The Anti Narcotics Force, Sukkur, organised it.

Addressing participants, District Coordination Officer Shafique Ahmed Khoso stressed people to wage war against the drug abuse.

He said joint efforts were needed to save the people from the drug menace.

The DCO advised for establishing preventive and curative clinics for drug addicts.

The assistant director, Anti Narcotics Force, Police Station Sukkur, Syed Abdul Latif Shah, appealed to teachers and parents to keep a vigilant eye on the activities of their children and educate them against narcotics.

JACOBABAD: The Marie Stopes Society and the Community Development Foundation jointly organised a walk against drugs addiction here on Monday.

The walk started from the Marie Stopes office and reached the DCO office Chowk.

Speaking on the occasion, Jan Odhano, Saeed Ahmed and Sami Soomro said that people should combat with religious fervour the drug addiction which had played havoc with the young generation.
